These talented individuals joined the October 2024 and March 2025 intakes of the Academy and are now actively supporting clients as part of our Mentorship and Supervision Program. This milestone marks a significant step toward becoming registered Tax Agents and building successful accounting practices within the TaxAssist network.
About the TaxAssist Academy Program
The Academy is a structured 12-month development journey designed to help you gain relevant experience and move closer to meeting the TPB’s requirements to become a registered tax agent. The program is delivered across three key stages:
- Initial Training Course – Comprehensive Initial Training Program covering: Individual Tax Returns, Sole Trader Tax Returns, Company, Trust Tax Returns, Q&As and Case studies.
- Mentorship – Complete client tax work while receiving personalised one-on-one mentoring from a registered Tax Agent, who provides guidance, feedback, and technical direction.
- Supervision – Academy members begin handling their own client work independently, with all work reviewed and signed off by a Tax Agent. This stage builds autonomy and prepares them for full Tax Agent registration.
