What initially attracted you to the TaxAssist Academy?
I am planning to develop a new career as a tax agent, and I am highly interested in Taxation both in Australia and Taiwan. (I attend tax update courses every month).
Before joining the TaxAssist Academy, I had attended some RTA courses from different organisations, but they didn’t provide either contractor or related franchise opportunities. So, I kept searching for an organisation that would train me, provide contracting work or a franchise, and would also supervise and guide me towards becoming a tax agent. I found TaxAssist Accountants which will help me to achieve what I desire.
How much of the training course was new to you?
I think the cost of the TaxAssist Academy course is reasonable compared to other RTA courses or professional courses which I have taken, and the content is of a high quality. I really learnt a lot from the TaxAssist Academy.
What did you find most beneficial, or did you enjoy most?
I really appreciated that TaxAssist provides online training. I could be trained well, even when I am overseas, and when I come back to Australia, I can set up an office and start to search for new clients and provide a good service for them straight away.
The trainers are so nice. They spent a lot of time with me, explaining things to me very clearly and patiently. I greatly enjoyed the webinars. The training content was great, and I was able to closely interact with the academy members.
Even though I am yet to get started, the workpapers, letters, checklists and flowcharts from the PTA website will be very useful for me when I start providing a services for my clients.
How has the support been helpful when doing client work?
I don’t have any clients yet, but I know that when I need assistance in the future – Mandy and her team will be there to help.
What are your plans for the future after completing the Academy program?
Since starting the Academy program, I now feel confident to start my own TaxAssist Franchise. I am transferring from the Academy Program to owning the Rhodes/Olympic Park franchise area and will be trading as a TaxAssist Accountant from 23rd March 2024.
The support office has provided me with a timeline so my websites, social media pages and marketing will be in place so I can start helping clients minimise tax and grow their businesses as soon as I return to Australia. I look forward to a successful 2024, working as a TaxAssist Accountant.
