TaxAssist introduces Peter Johnson as its new CPD training partner

Chartered Accountant Peter Johnson, who operates Advisers Digest, the Online SMSF & Tax Education provider, is the new training partner for TaxAssist franchisees.

Mandy Sigaloff, Managing Director of TaxAssist Accountants, is pleased to announce an affiliation with Peter Johnson, who will be providing technical support and training to the TaxAssist network. “This is a hugely significant addition to the support provided to franchisees in Australia,” said Mandy. “Peter is a highly respected instructor for CPA Australia, an SMSF specialist and a sought-after SMSD keynote presenter.

“I will be working closely with Peter to develop a series of bespoke TaxAssist training programs and he will be attending the TaxAssist conference in June, where he will be conducting a session with franchisees.”

Peter said, “I am pleased to be working with TaxAssist Accountants franchisees, and to provide them with high level technical support around SMSFS, trusts and companies.

“My advanced qualifications and experience as a technical consultant who respects and relates to reliable client service, are underpinned by a genuine understanding of the machinations of the day-to-day demands on accounting firms. I look forward to sharing the benefits of my experience with the TaxAssist network.”

Peter’s qualifications include a degree in accounting, Chartered Secretary program, Diploma in Financial Planning, Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, Certificate in SMSF, Professional Certificate in SMSF, the CPA SMSF Specialist program and he is part way through a Masters in Tax.

His Professional memberships are Fellow of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Secretary and Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia. He is also a specialist SMSF Adviser with the SMSF Association.

He co-authors the SMSF manual for Tax & Super Australia, and is an experienced speaker,  presenting around 50 presentations each year, dissecting the latest developments in the structure, documentation and maintenance of Trusts, LRBA’s and other considerations relating to the structure of SMSF’s, among them, presentations for CPA Australia, SPAA and the Tax Institute.
